How coated blackout is built
Layers of coating on the back of the fabric
White base coat
Applied first, on the back of the face fabric.
Black layer
The layer that stops the light.
Further coat
Sealed over the black layer. Three-coat builds finish here.
Silicone or flocked back
Added on 4-layer builds.

How an order runs
Swatches
Color cards and fabric swatches are free. You cover the courier.
Lab dip or sample
3–5 working days. Send a color reference and we match it.
Deposit
30% T/T deposit with 70% before shipment, or L/C at sight.
Production
About 30 days from deposit. Custom-woven fabric adds 15–20 days.
Inspection
Rolls are checked one by one. GSM, color fastness and shrinkage are tested on every batch.
Shipping
FOB Ningbo or Shanghai. CIF and DDP available. Smaller orders ship LCL.

Fabric fills a container by volume before it reaches the weight limit: a full 20ft of 300 gsm blackout weighs about 12.6 tonnes. Final meterage depends on roll length and packing. For sheer, send your weight and roll length and we calculate the load.

Common questions
Are you a factory or a trading company?
We are a manufacturer, not a trading company. Our own staff follow each order on the production floor, from weaving and dyeing through coating and packing, and you are welcome to visit the factory in Shaoxing.
Do you sell fabric without sewing it into curtains?
Yes. We sell curtain fabric by the roll or by the meter, uncut and unsewn. Fabric is our only product line.
Which markets do you sell to?
Our main markets are the Middle East, Eastern Europe and South America, and we ship worldwide. Tell us the destination port and any fire standard your market requires.
What is the minimum order?
Stock fabric starts at 50–100 meters. Custom colors start at 800 meters per color, which is one full dye lot. Custom-woven fabric starts at 800–1,000 meters. IFR flame-retardant fabric starts at 5,000 meters, and FR-treated fabric starts from one roll.
How many meters are on a roll?
About 50 meters for coated blackout around 300 gsm, about 60–70 meters for black-yarn blackout around 210 gsm, and about 100–120 meters for sheer. Lengths vary by batch.
How much does the fabric cost?
Indicative FOB prices are US$2.5–4.2 per meter for coated blackout and US$1.0–1.7 per meter for sheer fabric. Your quote depends on weight, width, coating and order volume.
Can I get samples before ordering?
Color cards and fabric swatches are free; you cover the courier. Samples take 3–5 working days to prepare. A lab dip matched to your color reference takes 3–5 days and is quoted per color.
How long does production take?
About 30 days from deposit. Custom-woven fabric adds 15–20 days.
Which ports do you ship from?
FOB Ningbo or Shanghai. CIF and DDP are available, and smaller orders can ship LCL.
Do you provide test reports?
Every batch is tested in-house for GSM, color fastness and shrinkage, plus light block on blackout lines. Third-party testing is arranged per order, with cost and timing confirmed before you book. OEKO-TEX certified fabrics are available.
Can I visit the factory?
Yes. Factory visits take place in Shaoxing. Tell us your dates and the fabric you want to see.
